Diamond Staton-Williams:
Mother. Nurse. Public Servant.
A Commitment to Care
As a child, Diamond experienced the importance of community service first hand. When her mother was not able to care for her due to mental health, Diamond’s community made sure she was taken care of. From her extended family to teachers and mentors, Diamond has always known the reality of the cliche “it takes a village”. As an adult, Diamond has always been committed to being that village for others. From pursuing a career in nursing and volunteering on the Adult Care Homes Committee for Cabarrus County to serving her community on Harrisburg Town Council and now serving in the NC House, Diamond is committed to giving back to the community that cared for her.
Community for All
Diamond isn’t your “politics as usual” candidate. She didn’t intend to go into politics and only decided to run for office when she saw her point of view not being represented. Diamond doesn’t play political games, but is focusing on what real people need. Diamond understands working families and their needs because she’s a working mom, a nurse, and deeply committed to fighting for families just like hers. Diamond cares about the issues that matter most: education, support for working families, healthcare, economy, community safety, and housing and infrastructure. You don’t have to wonder how Diamond will vote in the NC House. You already know.
