Diamond delivers on community safety.
Diamond understands that true community safety extends beyond our incredible law enforcement. She’s fighting for long term solutions like $8 million dollars for the YMCA to ensure kids have safe afterschool activities.

Diamond has co-sponsored important legislation that invests in community violence intervention funding as a research-backed method of violence prevention. Similarly, investments in community based resources like the YMCA will provide at-risk youth with mentorship and meaningful programming to prepare them for a successful transition into adulthood.

Diamond understands that our literal lives rely on our first responders. As such, they deserve support for the very difficult work they are doing. Diamond is committed to everyone’s mental health, but especially that of first responders, which is why she co-sponsored legislation that would establish supplemental insurance for first responders diagnosed with mental health conditions. Additionally, Diamond co-sponsored House Bill 867 which provides crisis intervention training for law enforcement officers and ensures first responders have every tool available to keep themselves and our residents safe.
